Pesarattu Batter & Dosa Recipe | Pesarattu Dosa | Moong Dal Dosa | Healthy Breakfast

Ingredients: 


  • 1 cup moong dal 

  • 1/4 cup rice  

  • 1/4 cup grated coconut 

  • 1-inch ginger, chopped  

  • 4 -5 green chillies 

  • Small onion 1 tsp salt  

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda   

  • 1/2 cup dill leaves / Suva (instead of dill, you can use coriander) 

  • 2 cups water, as required  

  • Oil or ghee, as required  


Method:   


  1. In a large bowl, add picked moong dal and rice. 

  2. Rinse the moong dal and rice. 

  3. Soak the moong dal and rice for at least 2 hours or overnight in enough water.  

  4. After 2 hours, drain and transfer the moong dal and rice to a blender. 

  5. Then add coconut, onion, ginger, green chillies, dill leaves / suva and water. 

  6. Grind into a smooth batter; the consistency should be similar to a regular dosa batter.

  7. Transfer the batter to a bowl, add salt and soda. Mix well and keep that aside. 

  8. Heat the pan and pour ladle full of batter, and spread the batter into a round shape.

  9. Drizzle some oil and cook for a minute on medium heat. 

  10. Now flip the dosa, gently press dosa and cook both sides until crisp and golden brown.

  11. Serve the moong dal dosa or pesarattu hot with coconut chutney or onion chutney.
